We visit Spitsbergen, Jan Mayen and Greenland mostly with small sailing boats. Each summer, I offer two or three selected voyages. Some of them have specific subjects such as ‘photography’ or ‘glaciers’. Click the links below for further information on the individual voyages.
We expect our guests to have good general health and reasonable fitness and motivation for this nature experience in a small group and on small ships in remote areas, far from civilisation and medical facilities. We also hope for interest in the area, natural and human history beyond a superficial level.
Does that sound like you? Then … join us! Please have a look at the sites that are linked below or get in touch for more information (contact).
Have a look at the extensive collection of photos and triplogs from my polar journeys! For example, Spitsbergen in September 2009 and June 2010 with Noorderlicht and in August 2011, July 2012 and September 2012 with Antigua.
New dates for Spitsbergen 2016
We are planning six Spitsbergen voyages in 2016. Please note: most of them will be German speaking. But please don’t hesitate to inquire or to join if you speak a bit, it doesn’t have to be your first language.
We are planning expeditions to Jan Mayen, including staying in a base camp on the island for about one week and hopefully climbing Mount Beerenberg for those who are keen (and crazy enough).
The expedition to Jan Mayen in 2014 was fully booked more quickly than we could actually advertise it, which was quite amazing! And the same for 2015. So we are already looking at 2016, and based on this experience, I recommend you should get in touch sooner rather than later if you are interested. For more info about these trips, click here.
